As the first multi-jurisdictional resiliency authority in the United States, the Resilience Authority of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County seeks to provide an efficient and effective mechanism for planning, funding and completing infrastructure projects that mitigate current and anticipated effects of climate change.
Our Vision
To serve as the region’s central hub for fostering climate resilient infrastructure.
Our Mission
To provide an efficient and effective mechanism for planning, funding, and completing infrastructure projects that mitigate current and anticipated effects of climate change.
Our Impact
Combatting the effects of climate change in a cost-effective, fiscally responsible way requires innovative thinking and careful consideration of the challenge. By providing an efficient and effective mechanism for financing projects, our impact can be measured by how we accelerate the pace and scale of climate action, reduce the burden on local taxpayers and integrate measures to adapt to climate change with actions to reduce emissions in ways that provide wider benefits.
Our Projects
We partner with communities, the city, and the county to identify priority issues and develop a portfolio of projects to mitigate the effects of climate change, including sea level rise, flooding, and excessive heat.
